What's the apartment like?

Our apartment is a spacious 3 bedroom ground floor chalet, sleeping 6, (8 with the sofa bed). It’s safe for children and practical for anyone with walking disabilities. The previous owner was a carpenter so inside we have mixed homely traditional timber with modern décor and included all the essential creature comforts From the living room, patio and garden there are stunning views of Mont blanc and Aguille Du Midi, so it's ideal for sitting back and relaxing.

• We've got a top notch location, situated in the heart of Chamonix, walking distance to everything. But its tucked on the edge on the main street in a cul-de-sac, so it's still secluded and private.

• Where's the nearest supermarket, restaurant, pub etc
  
  
  • It's an easy 2 minute stroll to the main street where you'll find supermarkets, ski/board hire, restaurants, pubs, tourist information, designer shops, etc, basically everything you need! (We often stroll to the bakery in the morning for fresh croissants.)
    
    
  • It's 5 minutes walk to central square.
    
    
  • It's a 10 minute walk to Brevent slopes (although this is up hill and not so easy, great calorie burning though, from the croissants!)
    
    
  • It's an easy 5 minute walk to the free bus service giving full access to the whole region.
    
    
  • Because of this there is really no need for a car unless of course you prefer it to get about!

• What about for children?
  
  
  • It's ideal for children (we have some young ones of our own), as well as the patio there is a little garden out the front so plenty of safe outdoor space for them to run about in. There is loads to do in the area to keep them entertained, young ones and teenagers alike. We equipped the apartment with a highchair and travel cot (available on request) and the bathroom has a bath and shower.

  • 2 Single beds per room (we did it that way so you can keep them as singles or easily pull them together to make doubles)
  • Ample storage and hanging space in each room

  • 2 people can sleep on the settee (L shaped settee) if you want to squeeze in a couple of extra friends
  • Travel cots can be included on request

  • We have 1 large lockable ski locker in the hallway with plenty of room for leaving boots, boards, bikes & prams etc
    
    
• How does the linen work?
  
  This is optional at an additional cost of £15/20€ per person. It includes the following
  
  
  • Duvets covers
  • Sheets
  • Pillow cases
  • Towels
  • Tea towels
  • All bedding has cotton protective covers
    
  • If you are NOT HIRING LINEN you will need to bring for each person 1 x single duvet cover, 1 x single sheet, 1 x pillow case, plus towels
    
    
• How does the cleaning work?
  
  
  • Being in France we use the French cleaning policy. This means the apartment is left as clean as you found it. If you prefer not to spend time cleaning before you leave we can arrange for cleaning, this costs £45
    

A bit about us..

We live in West Sussex, England and the 4 of us (Natasha & Graham Shaw and Paddy & Angelique Shaw - yes all family), have owned the apartment since February 2003. We love going out there ourselves whenever we can and genuinely want you to enjoy it too. With this in mind we aim to make the whole of your holiday process an easy and enjoyable experience. We listen to the feedback we get and always aim to get it right. We have an excellent agent who manages the apartment and can always be contacted while you're there to help out with anything you need.

What's Chamonix like?

The town of Chamonix is a hive of activity and has several excellent restaurants and a good choice of bars and nightlife. There is an abundance of shops for all your needs including food, chic/trendy clothes, ski/board hire etc.
